, Dr. B. V. Owoyele, has charged Nigerian
to engage their encephalon
in productive mental natural action
to keep it from harm

, you are dead.”
Dr. Owoyele made the call last Monday (Marching music
10, 2014) while verbalizing at the Brain Cognizance Workweek
Public Lecture organised by the Ilorin Neuroscience Group (ING) at the
University
of Ilorin Secondary winding
School day
, Ilorin.
In the lecture, entitled “Brain: The Determinant
of your Life”, the former Head of Department of Physiology, University
of Ilorin, verbally expressed that the brain, as a constituent
of the central
nervous organisation
, include the spinal cord, peripheral nervous system and peripheral
nerve.
Dr. Owoyele verbally expressed that the ING is a grouping
of neuroscientists involved in perusing
sundry aspects of the brain in health
and illness established six months ago with a view to engendering
encroachment
among ourselves and the community holistically.
He verbalized, “The Brain Watchfulness
Week is an inspirational global campaign that amalgamates those who
part
interest in elevating public cognizance about the progress and welfare
of the brain and nervous system research.
Dr. Owoyele, disclosed that the key promoters of BAW are the DANA
Substructure, Society for Neuroscience (SfN) and International
Brain Research Organization (IBRO) among other group

Highlights of the occasion included TV
presentation on brain, exhibition of germane material
and quiz
contender
among four Secondary Schools in Ilorin, Kwara State.
At the terminus of the quiz competition, Chapel Secondary School,
Ilorin, emerged the victor with 21 item
, while University Secondary School, University of Ilorin, came second
with 16 points and Queen Elizabeth Secondary School came third with 10
points.
